MANTA RAY is quite unique in the UK, being a 10.6 metre Swiftcat built to comply with the MCA standards and is fully certified to operate up to 60 miles from a safe haven.
The hull was developed in South Africa and is assisted with Hydra-Foils. This combined with being powered by twin F300B Yamaha outboard engines enables MANTA RAY to achieve speeds in excess of 45 knots, and cruise at 35 kts, which means that our journey time to Alderney in the Channel Isles in under 2 hrs and the mid- channel wrecks in 45 mins, which gives the anglers far more time fishing.
The skippers have a great passion for angling, and are fully trained and certified in first aid and safety at sea, so why not come and join us to experience powering across the water to your destination, aboard one of the UK most unique designed charter boats.
What makes us different
By joining us on Manta Ray, your charters are tailored to suit your individual requirements which, if required can include sightseeing for the family combined with fishing to suit your personal preferences.
Tom has always been drawn to the sea, be it on a surf board, out on leisure boats or diving to explore what lies beneath.
After picking up a fishing rod and catching his first fish nearly 20 years ago on a small fishing boat with his father, Tom’s love for fishing continues. His father, Paul, can be seen regularly crewing for Tom on board.
Over the years, collecting both experience and merit on different types of vessel, He is now the proud skipper of Manta Ray.
We offer various commercial charter services including:
Safety boat work
Coastal and offshore surveys
Scientific surveys and observations
Corporate days out and team-building
